Outnumbered is one of those rare shows which is brilliantly witty, clever, and fabulously entertaining. In fact, I can’t think of another television show on at the moment which offers such qualities in a television show.
There are loyal, enthusiastic, hard-core fans of this show who in no way want to see Outnumbered leave our screens just yet.
The children and their characters being older opens a whole new window of possibilities for each of the characters as they grow. Imagine if we watch Jake rebelling and his location unknown to his panicked parents, or even as he attempts to prepare for his future, imaging Ben still causing new elements of grief to all adults and others that surround him, and imagine Karen kicking arse at high school; her character is flawless and insanely intelligent and she’ll have the whole school and it’s teachers whipped after two days.
It can be done. This show can continue if it has the faith and belief behind it. I have no doubt each episode takes a lot of new ideas, and improvisation; but that’s why we love it so much and support it as hard as we do.
Please don’t take this show away just yet. I’m not even in England and I love this show and own all the DVDs.
The show is perfect. Everyone’s chemistry just works perfectly. Keep it going. Don’t let it go just yet.
